From time to time at night, in the vicinity of the church you can hear the noise of the leather sandals of a headless monk; the spirit that guards a well, important to Levoča’s inhabitants. His body, separated from its head, was found during archaeological excavations in this monastery. Nearby the church is the so called Polish gatehouse.
